Elon Musk extends a helping hand to those in dire straits in Gaza
Washington: American billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk said that his company SpaceX will provide communications support to internationally recognized organizations in Gaza, but so far no terminal has requested a connection.
SpaceX is communicating with internationally recognized aid organizations in Gaza, Musk said in response to a question on the social platform. He said will support the link. He said it was not clear who has the authority for the ground link in Gaza, but no terminal has yet requested a connection in that area.
Earlier , Palestinian National Authority Communications Minister Ishaq Sadr said that they are in talks with Starlink to restore communications and put their services into use on the Gaza Strip. The minister said Palestine is in talks with Egypt to allow Starlink equipment entry into Gaza through the Rafah border crossing.
Al Arabiya broadcaster said on Friday that communications and internet services in the Gaza Strip had been disrupted due to a large-scale Israeli attack.
