Emotions run high as India bows out of World Cup in style

Ahmedabad: In the final match of ICC World Cup 2023, India had to face defeat by 6 wickets at the hands of Australia (IND vs AUS). With this, Australia won the World Cup trophy for the sixth time. At the same time, since 2013, the Indian team has not been able to win a single ICC trophy. Now this wait has become even longer. After the defeat against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, not only the fans but also the Indian players became disappointed. Fast bowler Mohammad Siraj started crying on the field itself. During this time Jasprit Bumrah took care of him.

Team India’s eyes moist in the dressing room

Not only Mohammed Siraj but other players of Team India were also seen hiding their tears on the field, but everyone in the dressing room could not control themselves. Even the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid could not stop himself after seeing the players crying in the dressing room. He also mentioned this in the press conference. Rahul said that yes, of course, he (Rohit) is disappointed. Many players are disappointed in the dressing room. Everyone was emotional in the dressing room.

He said that as a coach it was very difficult for me to see this. I know how hard these people worked. I know about his contributions and sacrifices. Everyone saw how hard we worked last month, what kind of cricket we played. This is a game and things like this happen in games. It may be that the better team won today, but tomorrow morning the sun will rise and we will learn from our mistakes and move on, as everyone does. You won’t be able to experience great heights if you don’t push yourself. You won’t be able to learn from this.

Team India won all the group matches in this tournament and reached the final by defeating New Zealand in the semi-finals. This was the same team that had defeated Australia in their first group match of this tournament, but they had to face defeat from Australia in the final match.
