Ensure roadblocks are cleared in implementing sectoral policy before March 31 – Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Government’s Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi held various programs at the Piccup Bhavan Auditorium as part of the campaign started to bring the historical investment of 33.50 lakh crore received in the UP Global Investor Summit 2023 under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Part of a string of important meetings with the Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary of the departments, in which the officers of all the departments were instructed to implement the prescribed sectoral policy by March 31.
Along with this, Minister Nandi told the officials that whatever obstacle is coming in this work, it should be removed at the earliest. Minister of State Jaswant Singh Saini also instructed the officers to implement the sectoral policy of all the departments as soon as possible to meet the set target.
Minister Nandi said that new India’s new Uttar Pradesh with limitless possibilities has become a major investment destination for the whole world today. In such a situation, it is our priority to provide convenience to investors eager for historical investment. Minister Nandi said that a large number of investors are ready and coming forward to invest in IT, ITS, Data Center, ESDM, Defense and Aerospace, Electric Vehicle, Warehousing, Logistics, Tourism, Textile, MSME and other sectors.
Investors do not face any problem while investing in any department, that is why 25 sectoral policies have been formulated. It is the responsibility of the concerned departments to implement it as soon as possible, so that the investors do not face any kind of problem.
It is very important for all departments to implement sectoral policies and issue GOs. Minister Nandi said that Uttar Pradesh should become a state with one trillion dollar economy, it is a collective responsibility. Minister Nandi said that our next action plan is to put the proposals received in UPGIS on the ground through ground breaking ceremonies.
Minister Nandi said that positive cooperation of the departments which have a role in different types of NOC and other processes for investment and establishment of industries is expected. We have to ensure that the sectoral policies of the new industrial policy are implemented effectively. IIDC Manoj Singh said that out of 25 sectoral policies, GOs of sectoral policies of 13 departments have been issued.
Of the 12 departments which have not yet issued GO, many of them have completed the process, notifications will be issued soon. On which Minister Nandi issued instructions to complete all sectoral policies by March 31 and issue GO. He said that whatever obstacles are coming, they should be removed at the earliest.
Stamp and registration, housing and urban planning, agriculture, urban development, micro-small medium enterprises, export promotion, transport, energy, state tax, state Officers of the Property Department, Panchayati Raj Department were present.
IIDC Manoj Singh, Principal Secretary Industrial Development Narendra Bhushan, CEO Invest UP Abhishek Prakash, Secretary MSME Pranjal Yadav and officers of other departments were present in the review meeting.
