Lucknow: In what might be a new lease of life for patients who were fighting to get much needed oxygen as oxygen supply was cut short, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has acted and sent out a directive to use oxygen produced in industrial units only for medical needs.
As per a government claim 90 MSME units set up in 30 districts have been directly connected to 285 hospitals in the state. This is like to abate the problem.
Minister of Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises Department Siddharth Nath Singh only recently reviewed the oxygen production and supply chain system in MSME units in the state.
Several departmental officers and representatives of industrial organizations were present in this meeting through virtual medium. Additional Chief Secretary MSME Navneet Sehgal further highlighted that as per the latest situation 90 units of 30 districts have been directly connected to the nearest 285 hospitals for oxygen supply. These units have producers as well as refillers. About 912.335 metric tonnes of oxygen is being produced from them.
ACS MSME Navneet Sehgal said that there will be no shortage of cylinders for the purpose of oxygen refilling. Cylinders are being collected from different sources.
