Every district of U.P. to have a cyber crime police station : CM Yogi
Lucknow: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that cyber security is an important topic in today’s era. After the police zone, now there is a need to establish a cyber crime station in every district of the state.
In a high-level meeting of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Home Department, he reviewed the efforts being made in various areas including police, fire fighting, women safety and gave necessary directions.
Minister Urban Development Arvind Kumar Sharma was also present in the meeting. During this, it has been decided to establish a cyber crime police station in every district to check the increasing cyber crime. He said that a detailed action plan should be prepared and submitted in this regard as soon as possible.
Adding that the Safe City project is proving to be very useful in fulfilling the resolve of women’s safety, respect and self-reliance. Through this project in the state, Modern Control Room under Lucknow Police Commissionerate, Pink Police Booth, Asha Jyoti Kendra, CCTV cameras, help desk for counselors in women police stations, panic buttons in buses and other security measures have been implemented.
He said that in recent times, we all have realized the important role of CCTV cameras in women safety and crime control. At present, the security system of cities has become smart with the Integrated Traffic Management System installed under the Smart City Project. A large number of traders have contributed to the installation of CCTV cameras. We have to make it a campaign. Efforts will have to be made to make more and more cities safe cities by doing financial management through convergence with inter-departmental coordination.
The Chief Minister said that there is a need to intensify the campaign against illegal manufacture, horse-trading and drug trafficking in the state. From this point of view, vigilance and intelligence will have to be further improved in sensitive districts. Vigilance should be increased on the inter-state and international borders. Along with the Home Department, the Urban Development and Rural Development Department will also have to cooperate in this campaign.
CM Yogi said Uttar Pradesh shares its border with the nation of Nepal as well as Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Delhi. Border management is a very important subject from the point of view of development and security. Youth, visionary and energetic officers should be deployed in the district administration including police station, tehsil, development block in border districts. There should be adequate human resource availability in all departments.
The Chief Minister said that 100% saturation of beneficiary schemes of the Central and State Governments should be ensured in all the border districts. Every eligible needy must get the benefits of government schemes. The progress of the schemes in these districts should be reviewed separately. He added joint patrolling should be done in border districts with the state police and SSB teams. Maintain better coordination with SSB.
Yogi said that the work of forensic institute under construction in Lucknow is expected to accelerate. In collaboration with the National Forensic University located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, certificate, diploma and degree courses should be prepared here.
