Lucknow: Sarojininagar witnessed another historic sports event. A ‘Football Tournament’ was started in the third phase of Sarojininagar Sports League, which is being run by Sarojininagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh to encourage and honor the players continuously.

Chief Guest PWD Minister Jitin Prasada and Special Guest Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal encouraged the players in the grand football tournament organized at Jai Jagat Park, Kanpur Road.

Addressing the youth, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said that just as there is a goal in a football match, every youth also has a goal in life, they should make every effort to achieve it, their confidence should be increased and they should get opportunities, facilities. It is our responsibility to provide resources.

During this, Sushma Kharwal said that children used to play mobile during the Kovid period, but with this unique initiative of Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, children are getting opportunities for outdoor games, using these opportunities the children of Sarojini Nagar will walk and bring laurels to the state and the country.

Jitin Prasada said that sports talents are being encouraged by PM Narendra Modi through various mediums like Khelo India, Fit India, Sports Talent Search Scheme portal.

During prize distribution, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh gave trophy to the winning team and incentive amount of Rs. 1-1 thousand to the players who scored the goals. Along with this, all the players were given football, T-shirt and citation. Let us tell you that the players of Sarojini Nagar were waiting for this tournament for a long time, in which a prize of Rs 50,000 has been kept for the winning team and Rs 25,000 for the runner-up team.
