Farmer delegation pays a courtesy visit to U.P. Governor Anandiben Patel

Lucknow: Progressive farmers of Aung Malwa, district Fatehpur paid a courtesy call to the Governor of Uttar Pradesh  Anandiben Patel at Raj Bhawan. The Governor discussed the issues related to natural farming in detail with the farmers. She said that natural farming is related to the health of the people. This is in the public interest. With the use of chemical, the farmer can get more product in less land, whereas natural farming does not produce as much. The farmer does natural farming in public interest even after getting more less profit.
Dr. Alka Katiyar, who came with the farmers, gave detailed information to the Governor regarding nutritional security, coarse cereals (super food),  FPO seed hub, honey production, nematode.

During discussion with progressive farmers, she was invited to observe the remarkable work done by women in co-cropping crops and honey production, nutrition garden, nursery in Fatehpur district.
Ram Singh Patel, a progressive farmer who played a leading role in the production of super food in Fatehpur district, presented the nursery of organic products like garlic, onion, parwal, turmeric and green onion grown in self-made cropping model for the Governor’s perusal.

The Governor had a special discussion with the progressive woman farmer Smt. Kanti Devi on the nursery of Kharif onion and expert Shri Shailendra Singh about the properties of organic sugarcane variety 8436 and Drip sprinkler, Dr. Ravish Katiyar Molecular Scientist, the effects of advanced molecular technology in science.
