Felt Empowered Playing Rajshree: Huma Qureshi
Mumbai: Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi says she was asked by people to act in the film Double XL. Directed by Satram Ramani, Double XL stars Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi, Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghuvendra in lead roles. The film is the story of two plus-size women who are in search of their dreams.
Huma Qureshi had to gain about 20 kg for this film. Huma Qureshi said that when it came to gaining weight for the role of Rajshree Trivedi in Double XL, I was scared because my closest confidants and colleagues told me that I was making a mistake. And that would be the end of my career.
But despite all this I made up my mind and decided to play the role. Huma Qureshi said that playing the character of Rajshree was very liberating and empowering.
The film is being presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, Wakao Films and Mudassar Aziz. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Behl, Saqib Saleem, Huma Qureshi and Mudassar Aziz. Double XL will release on November 04, 2022.
