Greater Noida: Tender process is going on for the Film City to be built in Yamuna Authority area. Following suggestions from many big companies, many changes have been made in the tender process. The UP government has decided to develop the Film City in a phased manner. In the first phase, Film City will be developed on 230 acres near Greater Noida city.
The film city to be built right next to Greater Noida city will become India’s largest and most modern film city. For this, one thousand acres of land has been selected in Sector 21 next to Jewar Airport.
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIDA) has issued a global tender for the construction of Film City. The process of this tender is going on fast. Changes have also been made in the conditions of construction of Film City based on the suggestions of some companies willing to fill the tender. Under the new tender process issued after these changes, tenders can be filled till November 30. After this, technical bid will be opened on 5th December and financial bid will be opened on 6th December.
After completing this process, the company to build the film city will be selected by 31 December 2023. YIDA CEO Dr. Arunveer Singh said that the construction work of Film City will start before March 2024.
Within three years the Film City will be completely ready to start construction. He also said that to ensure that the construction of Film City is completed on time, a provision has been made to impose fine on the construction company. The company building the film city will be given three years’ time. If the work is not completed within three years, a fine of Rs 10 lakh per day will be imposed on the company.
