Lucknow: Under the leadership and efficient guidance of Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya, food processing industries are being promoted in a big way and many remarkable and excellent works have been done in this field. Since the formation of the present government, capital investment of billions of rupees has been received in this sector.
According to the information received from the Horticulture and Food Processing Department, in the Uttar Pradesh Inventors Committee-2018 organized by the State Government in February-2018, 285 MoUs worth Rs 15182.54 crore were signed by the industrialists of the food processing sector by the private sector.
MoUs worth 8095 crores have been implemented and out of this 164 enterprises have come into commercial production in the state.
Under the direction of the Deputy Chief Minister, 48 private sector schemes have been approved by the Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana and they have also started work, in which Rs 1116.08 crore has been invested.
