Foolproof feedback to help improve facilities in KGMU
Lucknow: Patients and attendants will give their opinion on cleanliness and treatment in KGMU. On the other hand, students of MBBS, BDS and Nursing will share information about arrangements from studies to hostels. For feedback, the KGMU administration has pasted QR codes from OPD to Ward which will have to be scanned from mobile and fill the answers to the questions asked. According to the officials, such feedback will help in locating the problems easily which will be rectified later.
There are about 4500 beds in KGMU. Most of the beds are always full. Five to six thousand patients are coming daily in OPD. There are 500 doctors and more than 800 residents. There are about 2200 regular and more than six thousand contract employees. To provide better treatment to the patients, the government is providing a budget of more than Rs 900 crore every year.
In order to further improve the treatment arrangements, the KGMU administration has decided to take feedback from patients and attendants. For this, QR codes have been pasted at various places. In this, questions are being asked related to difficulty in getting prescriptions, inconvenience in OPD, behavior of doctors and staff, cleanliness, availability of medicines etc.
There are three thousand medical students in KGMU. Efforts have also been made to know their problems. In this, questions have been asked to the students about the problems in the hostel, mess, library, department, lab and the behavior of the teachers and employees.
After knowing the problems of patient-caretaker and students, efforts will be made to remove them. There will also be no hindrance in sharing information through QR code. Opinion will be confidential said Dr. Bipin Puri, Vice Chancellor, KGMU.
