Lucknow: Under the chairmanship of Sunil Bharala, President (Minister of State) Labour Welfare Council, a meeting of Labour Welfare Council was held in the auditorium at Indira Bhawan, Lucknow. In the meeting, instructions were given by the chairman to establish contact with various chapters of the state like IIM, Laghu Bharti in relation to receiving grant/CSR/donation money from the state. Instructions have also been given to provide benefits under Mahadevi Verma Book cum Financial Assistance Scheme to the daughters of laborers who are employed by the UP Shop Commercial Establishment Act, 1962.
He directed the concerned officers to organize a webinar to throw light on the life of Munshi Premchandra on July 31, 2021 under the cultural program to be organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great men. For the financial year 2021-22, instructions were given to the departmental officers for allocation of targets to various schemes of the board and district wise for the various schemes of the council.
Bharala said that the implementation of Labour Welfare Council started in 1962 after 1950. In the government of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the schemes run by the council were expedited for the benefit of the workers. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great men, he has decided to organize a program in each district to make the families of the workers aware of the personalities of the great men, so that the poor labor families also get inspiration from those great men.
On the occasion of International Sports Day (August 29), Chetan Chauhan Khel Protsahan Yojana, run by the Labor Welfare Council, has been operated. Thousands of labor families will be benefited by this scheme. It was decided to organize a grand event in Lucknow to benefit the workers from the scheme. Children of laborers who are proficient in sports will be rewarded.
The Khelo India program has also benefited and encouraged the Prime Minister of India. Deputy Labor Commissioner / Deputy Labour Welfare Commissioner, Prabhakar Mishra, Asst. Labor Commissioner, Sher Singh etc. participated.
