Fraud Director of Massair Group who duped people worth crores of rupees nabbed

Lucknow: To earn money a criminal mind can go to any extreme. The  fraud director of Massair Group, who duped people of crores of rupees in the name of doubling it in 24 months by investing money in herbal products was arrested by  team of the police station Gomtinagar.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East)  Hridesh Kumar and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Syed Ali Abbas in the order of the campaign being run by  Commissioner of Police and Joint Commissioner of Police to control crime and criminals and arrest the wanted accused cracked the whip. Playing  lead role in the operation was  Assistant Commissioner of Police Gomtinagar  Virendra Vikram with help from Inspector in-charge of Gomti Nagar police station  Dinesh Chandra Mishra, police station Gomti Nagar police team arrested the wanted accused Ashutosh Kumar Tripathi, a forger of Massair Group company, near Sahara bridge.

Reportedly, the accused, along with other members of his gang formed the Massair Group  and operated the Massair Group  by investing money in herbal products. Ashutosh Kumar Tripathi used to work as a director in the company and in the name of producing herbal products and getting more profits, the general public has been tempted to deposit maximum amount in the company and many of the public have been cheated. Crores of rupees have been cheated. All out efforts were made to arrest the said accused. Accused Ashutosh Kumar Tripathi  was absconding continuously hiding his identity since the charge sheet was registered.

The police got success in arresting him  on 16.04.2023 near Sahara bridge. Other accused of the said company are (1) Dharmendra Prajapati s/o Ramsundar resident of Bakwa Dargah police station Khodre district Gonda aged 42 years on 21.04.2021, (2) Ratan Chandra Dwivedi s/o late Digvijay Nath Dwivedi resident of Laxmipur police station Tarkulwa district Deoria and (3) Rakesh Gupta s/o Bhai Lal Gupta resident 628/99 Gazipur Indiranagar police station Ghazipur Lucknow on 10.07.2021, (4) Jai Prakash Prajapati s/o Mr. Ghanshyam Prajapati village Malikpur police station Baskhari district Ambedkar Nagar on 25.07.2021 (5) Abhinav Kumar Singh S/o Manoj Singh, Rehla police station, Rehla district, Palamu, Jharkhand, was arrested on 01.08.2021 and sent to judicial custody earlier.
Talking of the modus operandi the cops said by depositing crores in small installments in the name of doubling in 24 months, all the money was siphoned off. Acting as the kingpin in District-Lucknow was Ratan Chandra Dwivedi, the mastermind/director of the said gang.
