Lucknow: The Tejas Express, the Indian Railways’ corporate train that had to be discontinued during the pandemic will once again resume services unde the aegis of IRCTC. Te services will be available on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai and Lucknow-New Delhi routes from February 14 as per Railways Ministry.
The operations of the Tejas Express train operations had been restarted from October 17, 2020 during the festive season, after a break of seven months. In November 2020, IRCTC had to temporarily shelve the idea owing to low occupancy.
In a bid to ensure social distancing, every alternate seat on these two trains will be kept vacant.Railway passengers will not be allowed to exchange their seats. Passengers will undergo thermal screening before entering the coach. IRCTC Tejas Express passengers will be provided a “COVID-19 protection kit”with a bottle of hand sanitizer, one face shield, one mask and a pair of gloves.
