Fully operational trauma centres a reality soon
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak speaking in the Vidhan Sabha said the state government is committed to provide better health facilities and will soon make the partially functional trauma center fully functional by recruiting specialist doctors. During the Question Hour in the budget session of the Legislative Assembly, Medical and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak, in response to the questions of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Dr. Ragini and other members, said that 36 trauma centers have been set up in 35 districts of the state, in which Of these, three are fully functional, 28 are partially functional and five are non-functional.
Pathak said that efforts are being made to ensure availability of staff in all trauma centers so that they can be operated at full capacity. A total of 10,480 posts of medical staff are sanctioned, against which paramedical personnel are working on 8,004 posts. 1,478 pharmacists and 195 X-ray technicians are employed on contract basis through the National Health Mission, Uttar Pradesh.
