Lucknow: Books highlight the characters of their period. This book fair is not a tradition. Generations together have been taking inspiration from books since the Vedas. The Lucknow Book Fair on the theme G-20 has started at Rabindralay Charbagh Lawn. The Lucknow Book Fair will be unique in many respects this time.

This time Namrata Pathak, wife of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said these things while inaugurating the book fair. In the inauguration ceremony, while discussing the texts like Ramayana and Mahabharata composed in Treta and Dwapar era, she said that like those eras, today’s events are also confined to books and are becoming a lesson for us. Along with this, she also discussed the difficult life and routine of a dedicated politician in front of the audience on the basis of his experience.

Earlier, while presiding over the inaugural ceremony, Advocate Ramji Das while discussing the oldest book Vedas said that the hunger and curiosity to learn makes the books important.

Welcoming the guests, the patron of the fair, TP Hawelia, stuck to the tradition and framework of book fairs and said that apart from economic aspects, the purpose of this fair is to create awareness about books and reading. In the end, Convenor Manoj Singh Chandel threw light on the activities of the event. The Director of the fair Akarsh Chandel also expressed his views.

In this fair, which continues from 11 am to 9 pm every day and has absolutely free entry, where every buyer will get a minimum 10 percent discount on books in this book fair, 15 percent discount will be available at the stall of Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan in the fair. 20% discount is available on Hindi books at the stall of Subhash Book Store, 25% at the stall of Vangamaya and 30% at the stall of Rampur Raza Library.

There are multiple respected names which include Osho Tapovan Nepal as well as National Book Trust, MTG Learning, Bodhras Prakashan, Padam Books, Ritesh Book, Mukta Book, BFC Publications, The Junior Age, Ramakrishna Math, Yogda Society, Amar Chitra Katha in a 10,000 square feet water proof pandal.

There are stalls of Publication Department, Sasta Sahitya Mandal, Hindi Vangmaya Nidhi, Aryan Book Seller, E-Local Book Shop, Vaishnavi Books etc. Meet the author, book release, youth program, Kavi Sammelan, Mushaira cultural events will be held in the cultural pandal.

Fair director Akarsh Chandel told that apart from enjoying Kavi Sammelan-Mushaira, people will get opportunities to talk with writers and poets, besides decorating stalls for books of local writers, as well as book lovers’ lounge for book lovers. has been prepared.

Along with this, proper parking arrangements have been made in the fair. This evening the artists of Sankalp Foundation presented a variety program Music Phir Peace in association with Shashi Singh.

Organized in collaboration with Force One Books, Kiran Foundation, Origins, City Essence, Trade Mitra, etc., cultural program by children tomorrow at 11 am, youth programs from 1 am, poetry gathering from 3 pm, Vaishnavi and Vani group programs at 6 pm. And from seven in the evening there was  a theatrical performance by Utkarsh and Harela Bakhai Group.
