Lucknow: The elderly in the city were spotted lining up in all COVID vaccination centres where Lucknow witnessed one of the biggest COVID vaccine drives. Among them was Director RML Hospital Dr AK Singh and Nodal Officer at the centre, Dr AP Singh who personally monitored the patients and checked on their health parameters.
Those getting the vaccine were above 60 years of age and people with co – morbidities ranging from 40 to 59. They were inoculated along with frontline and health workers. As per instructions all district hospitals and medical colleges in the state are engaged in vaccinating on all 6 days.
The vaccination facility has been made available on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. UP health officials are tasked with the responsibility of immunizing a steep 1.98 crore elderlies. Beneficiaries of the vaccine are also being provided with a walk-in registration facility at government centres.
