Gita in Urdu Shayari form adds a new perspective to the modern day understanding of Bhagwad Gita

Lucknow: On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the audio version of Gita in Urdu poetry, composed in Devanagari script (Hindi) by Urdu poet and Nazim Padmashree Late Anwar Jalalpuri has been released on YouTube. Harsh Vardhan, founder and managing trustee of Help You Educational and Charitable Trust Envisioned by Agarwal, Bhajan Samrat Padmashree Anoop Jalota has given voice and music is by Vivek Prakash. The audio version has been released on the Trust’s YouTube channel

It has 18 tracks of 18 chapters of Bhagavad Gita and the complete version. It is 452 minutes long. In view of the promotion and upliftment of literature, spirituality, culture and national harmony, the trust has made it available free of cost. In the beginning of the track, there is a brief description of each chapter in the voice of Anwar Jalalpuri and 700 verses of Bhagavad Gita called Anwar Jalalpuri. It has been translated into Urdu poetry in 1761 Ashr, which has been presented word by word by Bhajan Samrat Padmashree Anup Jalota in his own voice.

On this occasion, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sentiments and said that – Glad to know about the preparation of audio version of ‘Gita in Urdu Shayari’ composed by Shri Anwar Jalalpuri through ‘Help You Educational and Charitable Trust’. This version, adorned with the voice of Shri Anup Jalota ji, will definitely be sweet and lovely. I hope that with the audio version of ‘Gita in Urdu poetry’, its nectar words will be spread to more and more people. Everyone associated with this important work Congratulations to the people and best wishes for its success.

Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav says that bringing Bhagavad Gita into poetry is a big task. In today’s society, people become courageous by reading Gita. Gita gives strength to those who lose their morale. It has shown the way to the society. The more times the Gita is read, the better it is. Where Geeta was presented by Anwar Jalalpuri in the style of his poetry and the biggest thing is that in very simple words, he has kept this point. It will work to reach the general public. Somewhere it will work to give a direction to the society. It will work to connect the society.

Dr. Dinesh Sharma is of the view that the Gita was preached in Sanskrit language, like Ramayana has been translated by Goswami Tulsidas ji. The book of Gita is approved here. For a person to become a Karmayogi, Jalalpuri Sahib has described all the verses in the teachings of the Gita in his own words and he deserves thanks. It is my best wish to be possible through this writing.

In the words of the great poet Dr. Gopal Das ‘Neeraj’, I have read many translations of Gita in Hindi and English languages, but as translated by Anwar Jalalpuri, I have not found it anywhere else. Gita in Urdu poetry is so intelligible, easy and simple which It settles immediately on the lips. The greatest significance of the Gita will be that it is not only in the book but also on the tongues of the people, which they will sing and hum as well.

Yoga guru Swami Ramdev says that I was very happy to read some excerpts from the book. The late poet has written that ‘Gita Kadeem is the most important book of Hindustan. Its philosophy has a great impact on the people of entire India. I had studied the Bhagavad Gita deeply. Taking inspiration from this holy book, he composed ‘Gita in Urdu poetry’ and presented the solution to the complex problems of life in simple Urdu language and Hindi translation of this book for the common man.

Shri Ram narrator Morari Bapu explains that Anwar Jalalpuri has presented the entire Gita in a very attractive way for the readers. I am sure that ‘Gita in Urdu Shayari’ will take Medina to Kashi and Kashi to Medina. Both this book Religion can end the distance. ‘We come together but are not one’. Sanskrit descended into Urdu, Urdu descended into Sanskrit, this is the proof of the 21st century.

Bhajan Samrat Padmashree Anoop Jalota says that we have lent our voice to the 1761 Asr of the Urdu text of Gita through the Help You Educational and Charitable Trust. There was no such lack in it at all, that’s why we recorded it. I hope people of all ages will like the musical rendition of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita in poetry. Young people will also feel connected to it.

Veteran poet Uday Pratap Singh says that the philosophical side of the Gita is made available to the common man in a public accessible style. The work is difficult and holy and necessary too. The basic message of the Gita is to do the work, don’t worry about the fruits. Keep away from the world. Anwar Jalalpuri sahib has presented in the Gita in Urdu poetry by casting it with great skill in his lions.

Kumar Vishwas says that in Urdu poetry Gita, the work of molding the detailed knowledge of Gita in his succinct poetry has been done by elder brother Late Anwar Jalalpuri Sahib. Anwar Jalalpuri was a strong verbal soldier, Azeem Shayar and Nazim. l

Harsh Vardhan Agarwal, Managing Trustee of the Trust said It is to be said that Anwar Jalalpuri ji translated all 700 verses of 18 chapters of Bhagavad Gita into Urdu poetry in 1761. Jalalpuri ji has been of the view that Gita makes man human, “The Gita, the Upanishads and the Quran are in no way inferior to the ‘human heritage’ and must be preserved at all costs and without regard to religion, in the Gita. There is an urgent need to spread the underlying message to all mankind.”
