At times when people would rather get lured by the big city life and setup their business in the metropolitan cities, DailyJoy founder, Satish Sharma found a tier 2 city like Lucknow a good market to launch his startup that deals with delivery of essential goods. The idea was to bring to the city a home delivery startup when there is a serious paucity of options.
Despite the hiccups, it was the magic of word of mouth, traditional marketing and people in society talking of the product minus digital campaigns that worked wonders.
It was an idea that was inspired by similar ventures but the founder says credibility is what they stand for. It was about giving a service to the city that one could rely on.
Satish Sharma attributes the good that he is getting back to quality of service, consistency, a certain predictability and punctuality. Maintaining discipline the delivery boys at his venture report at 4:30 am and by 5 am they are on the door to door job. By 8:30 am the delivery work is over.
Satish underscores, “DailyJoy promises to be a cut above the rest. It gives app downloaders a welcome bonus of Rs 50 for the trial so as to ensure customers can try their service without spending a single rupee. In this fee, customers can ask for Amul milk, curd, buttermilk, fresh fruit, vegetable, egg, bread etc. DailyJoy does not charge any delivery fee. If the customer wishes, he can also ask for free milk for the whole week. It’s services are running smoothly in Sushant Golf City, Avadh Vihar, Vrindavan Yojana and Gomti Nagar Extension and the company is gradually establishing its footing across Lucknow.”
Lives of hundreds of families associated with the company are at a happy space. If families are given milk, curd, fresh fruits and vegetables, early it saves time and money points out Satish.
