Giving wings to a startup idea

Lucknow: Vision StartUp, a not-for-profit organisation, recently conducted an ‘entrepreneurship workshop’ in Study Hall, to empower students with startup acumen so that they can pursue their entrepreneurial dreams with confidence

In an effort to foster entrepreneurial spirit and equip students with essential business skills, a dynamic entrepreneurship workshop was recently held at Study Hall School by Vision StartUp, not for profit NGO. The one -hour session aimed to ignite innovation, creativity, and a sense of initiative among the young minds.

The workshop saw an enthusiastic participation from students from senior levels. With a vibrant atmosphere buzzing with energy and excitement, the event kickstarted with an inspiring keynote address by Dr Charu Rawat, motivational speaker and trainer.

The workshop featured a well-structured presentation, carefully designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the entrepreneurial journey of various other students. Through a series of interactive sessions, and question and answer rounds, the students were introduced to key aspects of entrepreneurship, including ideation, market research, business planning, marketing strategies, and financial management.

The session was presented by Neelesh Kapoor, a seasoned corporate professional turned entrepreneur with over 22+ years of experience. Presently, co-founder and COO, HashTagBazaar, Neelesh offered valuable insights, guidance, and hands-on support to the budding student entrepreneurs. He shared the experiences of seasoned entrepreneurs, showcasing the challenges they faced, the lessons they learned, and the strategies they employed to achieve success. During the session, students were encouraged to ask questions, engage in discussions, and tap into the wealth of knowledge available to them.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the chocolate game where students received chocolates by answering the queries. This activity not only fostered a competitive spirit, but also honed the students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Speaking about event, Sudhanshu Rastogi, a seasoned entrepreneur and an investor for last 30+ years, added, “The aim of Vison StartUp is to help students develop a range of skills and competencies via entrepreneurship education, that are valuable in both their personal and professional lives.”

Explaining more about Vision StartUps, Ankush Arora, founder & CEO, HashTagBazaar, opined, “Vision StartUps help early-stage startups to define their goals an get early funding. With this workshop, we aim to reach out our budding entrepreneurs and teach them the basics at a nominal cost.”

Echoing similar sentiments,a senior teacher, Study Hall, averred, “The rising demand for creative solutions has given education institutions a new chances to launch entrepreneurship curricula. The session was indeed informative and I hope enabled many students to make informed career decisions in the future.”

As the workshop concluded, the students left with a newfound entrepreneurial spirit and a deep appreciation for the intricacies of running a successful business. Many students expressed their gratitude and excitement, stating that the workshop had ignited a passion for entrepreneurship and provided them with invaluable skills that would undoubtedly prove beneficial in their future endeavours.
