Good to see the land tiller prosper – Dinesh Pratap Singh

Lucknow: Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Foreign Trade and Agricultural Export,  Dinesh Pratap Singh said that officers have been sent on a three-day tour at the divisional level to ensure that farmers do not face any problem in storing potatoes.

This officer will ensure storage of potato of maximum farmers in cold storage. Director Horticulture Dr. R.K. Tomar, Deputy Director in Bareilly Circle,  Dharampal Yadav, Joint Director in Agra Circle, Dr. Vijay Bahadur Dwivedi, Joint Director in Ayodhya Circle, Dr. Sarvesh Kumar, in Prayagraj Circle,  V.P. Ram, Deputy Director  Virendra Yadav has been sent to Lucknow Circle, Landscape Architect  Munna Yadav to Meerut Circle and  Praveen Kumar, Deputy Director to Saharanpur Circle.

Nominated directorate level officers in the mandals will ensure the work of potato storage of farmers according to their productivity at cold stores, so that maximum farmers can also get a grant of Rs. 100 per quintal for potato storage under Operation Green scheme.

Horticulture Minister made a surprise inspection of cold storages in Lucknow, Hardoi and Farrukhabad. During the inspection, he took information about potato storage from cold storage and deployed garden personnel. He reached to inspect Star Cold Storage, Kakori, Lucknow. During the inspection, he met the farmers present in the cold storage and took their feedback on potato storage.

He told the farmers that the state government is taking every possible care of the interests of the farmers. In case of any problem in potato storage, the officials should be informed. After this, the Minister directed to suspend M/s Ashwani Kumar Madan Pal  in district Hardoi with immediate effect if Horticulture Inspector Ankit Rastogi was not present at the place of posting during surprise inspection.

Singh said that there is great grace of God and nature, only then the earth spews gold.

Although Uttar Pradesh farmers grow 35 percent of the country’s potatoes for the countrymen, but this time more potato farmers have produced potatoes than this.

It is a matter of pride and honor for the state government that the farmers of Uttar Pradesh are climbing up the ladder of prosperity.

Potato farmers should not face any kind of inconvenience, so on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, everyone from Horticulture Minister to Horticulture personnel has entered the field.

Horticulture personnel have been deployed in cold stores for potato storage. Despite having a fracture in his leg, the Horticulture Minister is visiting various districts to inspect cold stores.

Horticulture Minister  Inspected Cold Store, Samridhi Cold Store and Shri Ram Cold Store and also held a press conference at Satanpur Naveen Aloo Mandi.

He flagged off a truck carrying 300 quintal potatoes from Naveen Aloo Mandi in Farrukhabad to Nepal. In this sequence, Dr. Dharampal Singh, MLA from Etmadpur in district Agra flagged off the potatoes of Siddhi Vinayak Agri Processing Agra for Malaysia.

Additional Chief Secretary Horticulture  Manoj Kumar Singh, taking stock of potato storage through video conferencing with potato farmers, cold store operators, district garden officers every day, taking measures to solve the problems of farmers in any condition and implementing them, along with the districts is also being visited.

Director Horticulture Dr. R.K. Tomar also inspected cold stores in district Kanpur.
