Ballia: Uttar Pradesh Governor and President, Indian Red Cross Society Anandiben Patel distributed fruit baskets and nutrition bags to tuberculosis patients adopted by various institutions and people in Ballia district. During the visit of the Governor to the district, adoption of TB patients of the district was organized at PWD Dak Bungalow.
Addressing on the occasion, the Governor said that everyone should come forward unitedly to root out TB in the country. He called for cooperation from officers, employees, businessmen, social organizations, social workers and said that our slogan ‘TB Harega Desh Jeetega’ will be successful only with everyone’s cooperation.
The Governor appreciated all the institutions and people adopting tuberculosis patients and gave citations to 15 people. In the program, Dr. Anand Kumar, District Tuberculosis Officer/Secretary of Red Cross Society, informed that the government has resolved to root out TB by the year 2025. In this direction, with the inspiration of the Governor, TB patients are being adopted by private institutions, social workers and officials.
Through which the adopted person is given nutrition, treatment and other assistance to the beneficiary. District Tuberculosis Officer / Secretary of Red Cross Society, Dr. Anand Kumar said that 274 TB patients have been adopted by the Red Cross Society so far in the financial year 2022. The campaign for the adoption of TB patients is being run by the Red Cross Society from March 24, 2022.
Continuing that trend, a program of adoption of new patients has been organized today, in which tuberculosis patients have been adopted by the trade board, social organizations and Red Cross Society Ballia trade board and Red Cross Society Ballia.
On this occasion, District Magistrate Ballia Soumya Aggarwal, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jayant Kumar CDO Praveen Verma, Deputy District Magistrate Seema Pandey, Superintendent of Police Rajkaran Nayyar, Additional Superintendent of Police, officers of all departments, Deputy District Inspector Atul Kumar Tiwari, TB Department and Red Cross Se Kumar Abhishek, Nandini Singh, MOTCM Shatrughan Pandey, District Program Coordinator Ashish Singh, PPM Vivek Singh, Abhishek Singh, STS Avneesh Chaturvedi, Sanjit Srivastava etc were present.
