Governor impressed with display at Regional Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Exhibition-2023

Lucknow: State Governor  Anandiben Patel visited various stalls of Regional Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Exhibition-2023 organized at Raj Bhavan. Encouraging the participants who came from far and wide, she also bought their products. Describing the process of two different flowers and vegetables grown with the new technique in the same pot as exemplary, the Governor asked to set up this experiment in the Raj Bhavan as well.

Agricultural universities of the state have also put up their stalls in the exhibition. In order to promote the special agricultural products of the particular region, the Governor asked the universities to cooperate in developing specialties in the production of other regions. Specially appreciating the various products made of coarse grains, she asked to promote them and connect them with big markets for marketing.

While visiting the stall of processed food items, the Governor herself enjoyed and praised the herbal drink prepared without the use of chemicals.

The Governor also inspected the musical instrument made of dry gourd. She said that marketing use of agricultural products in addition to food is commendable. Such production promotes diversification for increasing the income of the farmers. She observed the products of Cabbage, Capsicum, Tomato in vegetable production full of diversity by progressive farmers and appreciated the promotion of innovations in farming.

Meanwhile, the Governor also enjoyed the agricultural song sung by an 85 year old farmer who came to the exhibition.

A four-day regional fruit, vegetable and flower exhibition has been on at the Raj Bhavan from February 17 to February 20, 2023.
