Governor urges LU to use art to bring student of Anganwadis to mainstream
Lucknow: With the inspiration of the Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel, a one-day pottery design workshop was organized at the Raj Bhavan by the Art and Craft College, Fine Arts Faculty, Lucknow. The Governor inaugurated the pottery workshop by signing on the ceramic plate. 55 students of College of Arts and Crafts participated in the workshop for designing on ceramic plates.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Governor observed the beautiful and colorful artefacts made by the children and while appreciating them said that the artefacts made by them are amazing. They should keep trying this and should train their younger children as well. Inviting the children to visit the Raj Bhavan again and again, she said that the courtyard of the Raj Bhavan has blossomed due to their arrival.
On this occasion, she herself gave certificates to all the 55 children participating in the workshop and gave her blessings and said that the artworks created by them will now adorn the walls of the Raj Bhavan. In this sequence, the children presented the Governor’s photo made by them to her.
She suggested to the Lucknow University that by organizing such workshops training should also be imparted to children studying in Anganwadi and primary schools, so that those children too grow up and move forward in this direction. She said that Lucknow University should coordinate with Bhatkhande University, Lucknow and teach music and dance to the children, so that their all-round development can take place.
During the program, the Governor encouraged all the students participating in the workshop with her motivational words and met each and every student participating in the workshop. Appreciating and encouraging his work, the Governor wished him a bright future.
On this occasion, Special Officer Education Pankaj Johny, Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University Alok Kumar Rai, faculty members of Arts and Crafts College and officers and employees of Raj Bhavan were present.
