Groundwater Harvesting: Two day training program on in state capital on Source Sustainablity
Lucknow: Various workshops and training programs on various subjects are being organized at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya State Rural Development Institute, Bakshi Ka Talab under the able guidance of State Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.
In this series, a two-day residential training program on “National level training program on source sustainability” under Atal Bhujal Yojana under the joint aegis of World Bank and Ministry of Ground Water, Government of India at Deen Dayal Upadhyay State Institute of Rural Development, Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow is being organized during the period 14-15 March 2023 in collaboration with State Ground Water Department, U.P.
Under this program relevant officers of National Project Management Unit and Executive Officers / Subject Matter Experts of State Project Management Units of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh and District Project Management Units of respective states will participate.
There will be participation of experts. Useful knowledge enhancing information by national level subject experts along with discussing relevant subject points related to major topics like water conservation, water harvesting and perpetuity of ground water etc.
Giving this information, the Additional Director of the State Rural Development Institute, BD Chowdhary said that
Dr. Heera Lal, IAS, Administrator Model Village, Padma Shri Umashankar Pandey, Upendra Srivastava Ground Water Scientist, Pushpendra Singh, Convener Apna Talab Abhiyan, Nidhi Tripathi, social worker, Farooq Rehman Khan, as special guests in the training program.
Thematically relevant talks will also be provided by these people, along with important presence of Water Aid India and Maulika Agarwal etc. The National Training Program will be headed by the Director General of the Institute Rajesh Kumar Singh, IAS.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has expressed confidence that encouraging results will be achieved from the workshop being organized.
