Lucknow: Guru Gobind Singh with the aim of publicly honoring any person who has done outstanding work in the field of protection of human rights, social justice and national integration by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and has been fully dedicated to this. On January 5, on the occasion of his birthday, “Guru Govind Singh National Unity Award” will be given and a cash prize of one lakh rupees and a citation will be given.
According to the information received from the National Integration Department, certain qualifications have been prescribed for “Guru Govind Singh National Unity Award”, in which the applicant should be a native citizen of India, within the limits of the state of Uttar Pradesh, in the year of consideration of the award. Outstanding contribution is to be made in the field of living in general, human rights, social justice and national integration. Apart from this, the applicant should not have been given an award by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the past under the Guru Gobind Singh National Unity Award Scheme.
To all the Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates of the state, proposals of eligible dignitaries fulfilling the criteria of this award, factual details of important works done by them and archival evidences along with clear reports and recommendations in the prescribed format to the government in every situation. The circular has been sent to make it available by September 30, 2021.
