Guv Patel urges newly inducted IAS, IFS officers to work with a sense of service

Lucknow: 24 probationary officers of Indian Administrative Service 2021 and Indian Forest Service 2018-19 batch had a courtesy call on the Governor of Uttar Pradesh  Anandiben Patel at Raj Bhavan. Addressing the probationary officers on this occasion, the Governor said that  you are going to your respective posting area after getting your vocational training.

The government and common man have a lot of expectations from you, it is your responsibility to understand your responsibility and work with the spirit of service. She said that it should be your endeavor to make an important contribution in the works of public interest by getting out of the purview of your department and coordinating with other departments, as well as take special care that no complainant should go back disappointed. She said that during the deployment, it should be the endeavor of all the budding officers that the children of the families residing in remote areas/forests etc. get proper education and there should not be any kind of difficulty in the movement there.

She further added  that this can be possible only when you have a positive mindset, creativity and humanity, then only you will be able to make your place in the hearts of the people. She pointed out that to solve the problem of any complainant, you have to feel that problem yourself, only then you will be able to give relief to the victim.

Appealing to expedite the works of public interest, she said that on the completion of 100 years of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, it is your responsibility to see how our country should be. You have got the opportunity to make this country the best in the whole world.

Therefore, taking full advantage of this golden opportunity, you should work with your full potential to take the country to the heights of development with full dedication, dedication and hard work. Calling all the officers to be updated with the latest information, he said that when you will be completely updated about all the schemes related to public welfare run by the central and state government, then only you will be able to benefit the people from those schemes.

It is your responsibility that the complete information about these schemes should reach the people. Try your best. He also suggested the officers to curb social evils like dowry system. The Governor said that it is the responsibility of all the officers to visit the universities and educational institutions of their area and cooperate in resolving the problems there and in rural areas. Help in the treatment of spreading diseases like cervical cancer, breast cancer, diabetes, blood pressure etc.

She said that Anganwadi centers should be made convenient, to make the country TB free, she advised to adopt children suffering from tuberculosis, this will give you satisfaction. On this occasion, the trainee officers shared the work done during the probation period and the experiences gained from them.
