Had Mulayam Singh Yadav wanted, he could have got Azam Khan released – Shivpal Yadav
Lucknow: Shivpal Singh Yadav has been opening multiple fronts against the SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. In his fresh salvo, he has opened a big front against SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, as Shivpal met Azam Khan, a former cabinet minister lodged in Sitapur jail, on Friday.
Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party national president Shivpal Singh Yadav spoke to Azam Khan in Sitapur district jail for about 45 minutes.
Samajwadi Party MLA from Jasvantnagar in Etawah Shivpal Singh Yadav made serious allegations against the Samajwadi Party after meeting with Azam Khan, who founded the party.
He said that at present there is no MLA senior to Azam Bhai in the assembly and the Samajwadi Party does not seem to be fighting for him.
Shivpal Singh Yadav has also attacked Mulayam Singh Yadav for the first time along with Akhilesh Yadav. He said that if Netaji and Akhilesh Yadav had wanted, Azam Khan would have been out of jail. Netaji did nothing, did not raise the matter even in Lok Sabha. He could have protested if he wanted.
Shivpal Singh Yadav said that the whole country knows that Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) is highly respected by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If the leaders of the Samajwadi Party led by Netaji sat on a dharna for Azam Khan’s release from jail, then Prime Minister Narendra Modi would have definitely listened to Netaji’s words.
The people of Samajwadi Party should have kept this point. He said that despite being a founding member and senior leader of Samajwadi Party, Azam Khan is not being helped. Small and false cases were brought against him. Now there is only one case left. There has been a debate six months ago, but there is no help from the Samajwadi Party. We are with Azam bhai and he is with us.
Shivpal Singh Yadav said that at present there is no senior member in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly than Azam Khan. He has also been a member of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, but the Samajwadi Party is not seen helping or struggling with Azam Bhai, it is a matter of great misfortune.
Shivpal Yadav’s meeting with Azam is very important after the changed attitude of other Muslim leaders of SP and Jayant Chaudhary meeting Azam Khan’s family members. After this meeting, he has started a flurry of new political equations in the future. Shivpal Yadav has clearly said that Azam is a big leader.
