Harish Salve ties the knot for the third time

Mumbai : Former Solicitor General of the country and famous lawyer and Harish Salve has married for the third time at the age of 68. Salve married for the second time in 2020. Harish Salve is also a member of the newly formed One Nation- One Election Committee of the Central Government.

Harish Salve recently got married to Trina in a lavish wedding ceremony. Earlier he was married to Meenakshi (1st wife) and Caroline Brossard (2020). Salve and his ex-wife Meenakshi got divorced in June 2020 after 38 years of marriage. They have two daughters- Sakshi and Sania.

Close friends and family members including Nita Ambani, Lalit Modi and Ujjwala Raut attended Harish Salve’s wedding. Salve, a 68-year-old lawyer practicing in the Supreme Court, has been a part of some high-profile cases including that of Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court on charges of espionage. Salve took only Re 1 in legal fees to fight the case on behalf of Jadhav and this behavior earned him a lot of praise.

Tata Group, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries and ITC Group are some of his major clients. He also appeared in the Krishna Godavari Basin gas dispute case against Anil Ambani’s Reliance Natural Resources Limited.

Harish Salve became famous when he argued the first anti-dumping case in the Supreme Court of India. In 2015, Harish Salve represented Salman Khan in the 2002 hit-and-run case. Who was earlier sentenced to five years in prison. Khan was acquitted of all charges in the 2002 hit-and-run and drunk-drive case following a Bombay High Court verdict on 10 December 2015. Harish Salve served as the Solicitor General of India from November 1999 to November 2002. He was appointed as Queen’s Counsel for the courts of Wales and England. Salve, one of the busiest lawyers in the country, studied LLB from Nagpur University. Before being appointed Solicitor General of India, he was appointed senior counsel in the Delhi High Court in 1992.
