Lucknow: A surprise inspection of Forensic Science Institute, Pipersand, Lucknow was conducted by the Head of the Department of Public Works Department, Uttar Pradesh, Manoj Kumar Gupta and also reviewed all the buildings under construction. Gupta directed the Director of EPC contractor M/s GS Express Pvt Ltd, Sandeep Anand, to ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated time period. Presently, about 25 percent work of the project has been completed.

It is worth mentioning that the Forensic Science Institute, Pipersand Lucknow, funded by the Home Department, Uttar Pradesh, is being constructed by the Public Works Department on EPC mode. The sanctioned cost of the project is Rs 207.02 crore, against which Rs 100.00 crore has been made available to the executing agency.
