Lucknow: A “Blood Donation Camp” was organized jointly under the aegis of Help U Educational and Charitable Trust and King George’s Medical University on the occasion of World Thalassemia Day.
Help U Trust pledged to donate 1000 units of blood every year. The Founder of the organization said that Human service is the biggest religion and human beings should follow their religion by donating blood.

The blood donation camp was organized at Blood Bank, Department of Transfusion Medicine, King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow under the joint aegis of Help U Educational and Charitable Trust and King George’s Medical University. In the camp, 06 people have volunteered for human service by donating blood. The donors include Harsh Vardhan Agarwal, Roshan Kumar Prasad, Harsh Sharma, Deepak Kumar, Prince Gupta, Prakhar.
On this occasion, Harsh Vardhan Aggarwal, Managing Trustee, Help U Educational and Charitable Trust expressed gratitude to all the donors and said that “Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder which is passed on from parents to children, which causes the body to process hemoglobin properly. Does not work and there is a severe shortage of blood in the body of the patient, due to which he needs to be given external blood transfusions again and again.There are about 270 million Thalassemia patients in the world and in India its number is about 1 to 1.5 lakhs.
