IIT Kanpur hosts GATE 2023 successfully

Kanpur: IIT Kanpur announces the successful completion of GATE 2023 with the final session held on 12th February. The examination was held on 4, 5, 11 and 12 February, 2023 in eight sessions. The examination this year witnessed overwhelming response with about 6.8 lakh candidates registering for it. GATE 2023 was held in more than 500 centres across the country with an overall attendance of about 77%. This surpassed the attendance from last year’s edition.

Says a spokesperson from the GATE 2023 organizing committee, “The examination was held smoothly in all sessions, except for a delay of about 1 to 1.5 hours in the last session in few centres due to a technical glitch. However, the examination went smoothly after the issue was resolved. All the affected candidates were given full three hours. Transportation to bus stands and railway stations was arranged for the candidates from some of these affected centres, and were also offered refreshments. Overall, it was a successful conduction of the examination.”
