Kanpur: Even though a third wave of corona is wreaking havoc in many places of the world including Europe, but India need not fear it. Because the effect will not be there in the country. This claim was made by senior scientist at Kanpur IIT and Padma Shri Prof. Manindra Agarwal. He says the main reason for the third wave in those countries is the delta variant. This is the same variant, due to which the second wave came in India.
Prof. Manindra has done a new study based on the ongoing vaccination in the country with the infection spread in different countries through a mathematical model formula. According to this study, the third wave of corona has not yet arrived in India. He claims that it will be like the first wave. He said that in countries where the third wave has come, the major reason for this is the delta variant, while in India a large number of people have been infected due to delta and herd immunity has been formed in them. So the third wave will not be more dangerous.
According to Agarwal, due to the variant that is currently in effect, there will be no third wave in the country. If there is a new variant with a rapid spread like the Delta variant by the end of August, the third wave is expected by the end of October. If no such variant comes, the third wave will not be more effective.
