IITK Antaragni goes offline this year, excitement high on Day 1
Kanpur: One of the most sought after college fests in Asia, IIT K Antaragni is being held in offline mode after two years of online celebrations during the pandemic. The event was inaugurated in the presence of Avnish Kumar Awasthi (Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh) who was the Chief Guest.
The opening day of the fest was marked by events like all in one prudent game – Poker. Antaragni, in association with Official Poker Partner Pokerstarsin brought for the city Warm-up Antaragni 2022 Edition. Players had the freedom to use creative analytical skills with finesse and get a chance to win colossal prize pool of Rs.15,000 /-.
Later Talented artists namely: Nidhi Narwal, Nayab Midha, Swastika Rajput, and Vijay Kakwani showed their slam poetry skills. The event was titled Kalakaksh.
Turning on the musical note was the Delhi Indie Project, known for its mind-blowing versatility. Throwing open a magnificent fusion night.
Top names like Ekagra Sharma – a writer of the Kapil Sharma Show, Super Dancer and various other web shows. Sudeep Bhola known for stuff like Lapete Mein Netaji, Zee Kavi Yudh and many more, Azhar Iqbal, a script-writer and Hindi Poet – Sonroopa Vishal showed their creative best in a Kavi Sammelan.
In the upcoming days, a deluge of alluring stars will be present. First will be India Inspired Program” by Nat Radhakrishna and Sri V Anantham Nageswaran, which will inspire the audience through illustrious personalities in various fields. The Alum Inspired event will include talks with Neelkanth Mishra, Dr. Mahesh Gupta, Hemant Jalan and Pushkar Mishra.
The Talent Fiesta event, as the name suggests, showcases talent from different cultures and in this episode, , Sandeep Singh, Ajay Rawat and Jayant Joshi with their unmatched prowess will perform.
In the series Wanderlust, they will present fascinating stories of business leaders Brinda Sharma and Nivedit Gajapati as well as people travelling across the world. Abhi and Niyu (part of Ignite programme), Abhishek Kapoor and Puneet Sira (part of Director’s Cut) also join the line of high-spirited cultural artists. There will be a classical evening with Debasmita Bhattacharya to mesmerize all.
Expanding the creativity of Antaragni, there will be artists from around the world and their unique talents. The series includes Brendan Peele, Chango Spasiuku, Ekaterina Emilkina, Himbaza Club, Hannah Corinne and Harrah’s, Lavinia Meijer, Maxi Pachecoy and Yiu Yiu.
In line with the same star-studded artistes, Antaragni will host Rithvij who enthralls everyone with their music for EDM Night. To take this enthusiasm to the seventh heaven, Bollywood Night will witness the mind-blowing performances of Sunidhi Chauhan. This event will be such a huge festival of arts and artists, which will give you all the wonderful joy as always and countless memories to be remembered.
The fest is being held at IIT Kanpur where the cultural festival is celebrating the hidden art of the individual. It is a celebration of joy and gaiety that embraces myriad emotions. Over the years, Antaragni has grown as the biggest cultural festival organized by the students of any institute. It has garnered a footfall of over 130,000 and a social media audience of over 25,000,000. It has surprised the audience time and again.
Antaragni has a legacy of promoting excellence in talent and culture that continues for over 55 years and we are delighted to report that the 56th edition of Antaragni is being organized on the lines of ‘A Novel Rhapsody’.
After two years of lockdown and restrictions due to the pandemic, Antaragni is going to be conducted partially offline, which was conducted online with full enthusiasm during the pandemic. This year the Offline Fest excitement is in full swing, and Team Antaragni is busy taking forward this golden legacy and reviving the spirit of this glorious celebration.
