Impact Player Rule may help MS Dhoni stay with CSK longer – Dwayne Bravo

Chennai: According to Dwayne Bravo, the Impact Player rule that was just implemented in the IPL may help MS Dhoni stay with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) longer.
At the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Dhoni led the Super Kings to a 15-run victory against the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier One of the IPL 2023. CSK has advanced to a record-tying tenth IPL final with this victory.
In an interview with Star Sports, Bravo noted that the Impact Player rule in the IPL gives Dhoni the chance to continue his IPL career. He also emphasized the CSK captain’s unmatched talent for being collected and calm under pressure.
Will he play again for CSK in 2024? “Absolutely, particularly with the Impact Player rule. He is able to keep extending his career. We throw pretty hard. I really believe that individuals like Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube have a significant impact. You thus don’t need MS in a big way. But he is unequaled in his ability to keep us composed when the squad is under duress,” Bravo remarked.
After the game, Dhoni discussed his retirement intentions and claimed “he has ample time to decide” whether to participate in the next IPL season. He also said that he will continue to be involved with the squad, whether as a player or a member of the support staff.
“I’m not sure. I have 8–9 months to make a choice. The little auction is scheduled for December. Why then do you take that headache now? I have time to make a choice. However, I will always be there for CSK, whether I’m on the field or just watching from a distance. At the post-game presentation, Dhoni stated, “I don’t really know.
CSK will play the championship game on May 28 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium in an effort to win their sixth IPL championship.
