In an evolving digital landscape, two day conference to layout future scope of Commerce

Lucknow: National P.G. College is organizing the International Conference on “Post Covid Challenges and Opportunities in the Financial Sector.” The international Conference will be organised on 26 and 27 March 2022.

The Department of Commerce, National PG College in collaboration with Awoke India is conducting the International Conference. The focus of the conference is on the conglomerate of the financial sector market, instruments, banks, services, and their post COVID transformation behaviour and their digitalisation.

The Head of Department of Commerce at National Post Graduate College, Dr.Jyoti Bhargava said, “The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on banks and capital markets, forcing institutions not just to respond to their clients’ short-term liquidity needs, but also to develop innovative financing solutions, accelerate digitization in their operations, prioritise sustainability, and reconsider old business models. In view of all these challenges, this conference focuses on the changing dynamics of the Financial System, Financial Institutions, Financial Markets & Instruments and Financial Services with respect to growth acceleration, promotions of savings and investment and enhancement of employment.

Partnering for Knowledge with AWOKE India, the aim of the conference is to focus on the financial conglomerates-Institutions, Markets, Instruments, Services, and Digital Transformation.”

Principal of National Post Graduate College, Prof. Devendra Kumar Singh, said, “Covid-19 brought many unexpected changes in the financial sector. Now more than ever, there is a dire need to educate scholars about the challenges of the new era that are particularly severe in emerging markets, where financial sectors are often nascent. This international conference is another laborious effort on the part of the Commerce Department to provide a major knowledge gaining opportunity to many scholars and academicians.”

The Conference will be in hybrid mode with online and offline participation both. The programme will be live streamed via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and all social media.

National PG College was established in the year 1974 by the then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Late Chandra Bhanu Gupta. The College offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts and Commerce streams and under-graduate courses in Science and Computer streams. The Department of Commerce is as old as the College itself. Being one of the largest departments of the college in terms of students’ intake, it houses B Com regular and self-finance courses then B. Com (Hons) and M. Com. Additionally, Ad-on Certificate Courses in Computerised Accounting and Taxation and another .Certificate course in Digital Marketing are also being conducted in the Department
