In Holi season, Corona scare rises
New Delhi: Before Holi, once again Corona is making headlines in the country. For the last three weeks, there has been an increase in the cases of Corona in many states of the country. The Union Health Ministry has also expressed concern about this and has issued advisory to the concerned states on the increasing cases of Corona. The state governments also held a high level meeting to deal with Corona.
According to the data of the Ministry of Health, the cases of corona have increased in the last three weeks, which is a cause for concern. Recently, three deaths due to corona were also registered in the country.
Before Holi, the figures of Corona are going to trouble the government once again. The country’s infection tally stands at 4.46 crore (4,46,87,496).
According to the Health Ministry website, the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.80 per cent. Nevertheless, the increasing cases of corona for the last three weeks are a cause of concern. There have been 1,898 case reports in the week ending on Sunday i.e. March 5, while there were 1163 case reports in the previous week and 839 cases in the week before that.
Corona cases are increasing in which states
Talking about the figures, the daily cases of corona are between 270 to 350. This is not that big a figure, but even with the high rate of vaccination, so many cases of corona are increasing the concern of the government. Most of the cases of corona are from Maharashtra and many states of South India. Two people died of corona in Maharashtra on last Friday. One death in Kerala. The death toll from this epidemic has now increased to 5 lakh 30 thousand 775. On the other hand, the governments of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are also worried about the increasing cases of corona.
High level meeting in Karnataka
In view of rising corona cases in the state of Karnataka, Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar convened a high-level meeting on March 6 in Bengaluru. He said, “For the last one week, the cases of corona infected are increasing. The Union Health Ministry has also issued a caution on the H3N2 variant.” Karnataka has registered 95 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours. 79 new cases have been detected in Bengaluru city alone. After 100 days, the state and Bengaluru have recorded an increase in corona cases. As per the data released by the health department in the state, there are a total of 391 active Covid cases in the state and the positivity rate stands at 2.44 per cent. Doctors have advised people to stay away from those with symptoms of cough, cold and fever. People have also been advised to wear masks in public places
Alert on Corona in Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu Health Department is on alert following a slight increase in Covid cases in Tamil Nadu. According to the state health department, the maximum number of cases have been reported in Coimbatore, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Madurai, Tiruchi, Virudhunagar, Krishnagiri, Tiruvallur and Tiruvarur. Sources in the state public health department said that all district medical officers have been asked to increase random testing. The department has also directed the district medical officers to strengthen the guidelines. The state government is telling people to use masks, maintain safe distance, cleanliness and wash hands with soap and water.
