In Uttar Pradesh Universities, biometric system to be a way of life from June next
Lucknow: The system of recording the attendance of academic and non-academic employees posted in all the universities of Uttar Pradesh through biometric system will be made mandatory from June next.
In an order to this effect issued by Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor Anandiben Patel, it has been asked to install biometric system in all the universities of the state by May 30 so that this system can be implemented from June 1.
It has been said in the order that through the review meetings and mediums of universities, academic and non-academic employees of state universities are not present in their institutions on time and not fulfilling their office related responsibilities.
In view of this, it has been decided to implement attendance system based on new technology.
According to the order issued by the Governor, in the present system, the attendance of the employees is recorded on the basis of the attendance register. On the basis of this, the salary of the employees is also given.
It has been said that now by implementing the biometric attendance system based on new technology, the salary system has also been linked to this.
For this, all the state universities have been ordered to install such a biometric system by connecting them to a central server, in which the employee can be identified by face and thumb.
Attendance of all academic and non-teaching employees has been asked to compulsorily register through this system. The Governor has ordered to implement this arrangement in all the state universities by May 30 so that the salaries of the employees for June 2022 can be distributed in a new way.
