INCULCATING STARTUP BENT OF MIND IN YOUNG

Lucknow: The Goel Institute of Technology and Management, GITM Innovation Cell and Training and Placement Cell organized a workshop in association with Vision StartUPs on the topic – Innovation, Prototype Validation Converting innovation into start-ups.

Experts from Vision StartUPs helmed the engaging session which included President Sudhanshu Rastogi, Secretary Ankush Arora, Rishabh Agarwal Treasurer and Neelesh Kapoor member. Coordinating the event were Dr. Priyanka Jaiswal, Convenor IIC, Dr. Richa Verma A.P. ( AS &H), GITM along with Indrajeet Singh, Training and Placement Officer.

Held at the Goel Campus on Faizabad Road near the Indira Canal, the session saw a sizable number of students who turned up to hear the speakers who shed light on the future prospects of budding startup entrepreneurs.

It is worth mentioning that the government has recently announced that to further help promote start-ups in smaller towns a fund of 3 lakhs will be released which will help in giving them much needed impetus at times when they often fall short of funds.

In his latest talk show Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi interestingly appreciated the fact that the number of unicorns in India reached the 100-mark in the phase of Covid pandemic. He said that startups have been creating wealth and value with entrepreneurs emerging from smaller cities and towns as well. Modi said startups are operating in many fields like E-commerce, Fin-Tech, Ed-Tech and Bio-Tech.
