India a Vishwa Guru under PM Modi’s leadership: Navneet Sehgal

Lucknow: Additional Chief Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare Dr. Navneet Sehgal and King George Medical University Vice Chancellor Lt Gen Bipin Puri spoke at length of the events at the college level regarding Youth-20 (Y-20) to be organized jointly in KGMU.

Dr. Navneet Sehgal told that under G-20 agenda in Uttar Pradesh, Y-20 is organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. He said today India is a Vishwa guru under the efficient leadership of the country’s Prime Minister  Narendra Modi.

He told that the main objective of India under Youth-20 is to bring the youth together, discussing ideas for a better tomorrow and working together. He said idea is to prepare an agenda for Y-20 during India’s G-20 Presidency. He also added activities to be carried out  will focus on global youth leadership and partnerships.

Youth-20 (Y-20) is the official youth engagement group of the G-20. it provides a platform which provides youth to express their vision and views on G-20 priorities.

The Additional Chief Secretary informed that through the Youth-20 summit, Youth work program and sports by selected youth in various colleges/universities will be showcased.

State capital held the event on the theme of ‘Health Wellbeing and Sports: Agenda for Youth’ under King George’s Medical University (KGMU) on 24 March 2023 in Lucknow.

In the work order to be organized, 2-2 (1 female-1) of all the districts of the entire state a total of 150 youth  participated. To make the work order successful at the state level, guidelines have been issued, so that the young participants do not face any kind of inconvenience. He said that the chairmanship of the District Magistrate has been constituted at the district level.

Commendable work was also done by the committee members in a timely manner. Dr. Sehgal told that constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate at the district level, committee consisting of District Youth Officer, District Youth Welfare Officer, District School Inspector and District Basic Education Officer were involved. through selection committee

From the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in all district colleges of Uttar Pradesh, Debate, speech, drafting, painting, according to the theme set by the Government of India was organized.

The selection process was completed through competitions like Walkathon. Bipin Puri informed that the Youth-20 to be organized at Directorate General level(Y-20). The basic theme of the work order “G-20 Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam One Earth, One Family is a future”. Program was on Well-being and Sports Agenda for Youth theme, participating in it. For this, two participants have been selected from all 75 districts. in which there will be a male and a female participant.

As Moderator in the session organized on Mental Health Prof. Mukul Sharma (United Kingdom) was present. Dr. Kshitij Srivastava delivered his lecture on Problem and Society. Apart from this Prof. YPS Balhara (AIIMS New Delhi), Dr. Sujit Kumar (KGMU) and Dr. Bharat Saljuta (Australia)  expressed  views on various subjects.

During the sports session, Dr. Abhishek Saini (KGMU), Dr. Anirudh Sharma (United Kingdom), Dr. Ankit Joshi (Barcelona, Spain) and Dr. Amit Joshi (Nepal) called to choose sports wisely and prevent sports injuries.

Apart from this, sessions related to Yoga, Ayurveda, Health were also organized. These included Dr. Ravi Sonkar (Malaysia), Dr. Amit Khanna (USA), Dr. Yogeshwar (Bangalore) and Dr. Vaidya Sudarshan (USA).
