India gets its third Scorpene submarine

Mumbai: The third scorpene submarine has finally come to Indian shores. The submarine Karanja has the ability to aim by dodging enemies. This submarine will increase difficulties of countries like China and Pakistan. Karanja can attack with torpedoes and anti-ship missiles.

The Indian Navy will commission the third Scorpene class submarine INS Karanja in Mumbai on 10 March. The Navy has already inducted two class submarines named INS Kalvari and INS Khanderi. INS ‘Karanja’, the third class of the Scorpene Dock shipbuilders at Mumbai Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), was launched in early 2018. Project 75 is the third submarine made by MDL under the program. Karanja is an indigenous submarine built under Make in India. The Karanja submarine is 67.5 meters long, 12.3 meters high, weighing 1565 tonnes.
