Lucknow: Under the aegis of Pragati Environment Protection Trust, a 15-day “India Handicraft Festival-2022” will be organized from 30 November 2022 to 14 December 2022 at Kanshi Ram Smriti Upvan, Ashiana Lucknow. He told that the theme of the India Handicrafts Festival – 2022 is ‘Steps towards a self-reliant India – Whole India is a platform’. Vinod Kumar Singh said that 28 states Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Assam will participate in the India Handicraft Festival. Meghalaya, Manipur, Tamil Nadu and 8 Union Territories of Andaman-Nicobar, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep, Chandigarh, Delhi and Pondicherry as well. Art Culture, Tourism, Handicrafts, Indigenous Products, Textiles, Furniture, Spices, Handloom- Stalls for handicrafts and other things will be the center of attraction.
He informed that the Bharat Mahotsav is being organized by the State Government under the rules of Covid-19. After checking the temperature of every person entering the festival at the gate, he will be sanitized and given entry. Apart from this, no person will be allowed to enter the festival without a mask. He said that people from all over the country and abroad would be connected to the India Handicrafts Festival on the organization’s Facebook. Apart from this, the Facebook link of the Festival of India will be used for live broadcast to connect more and more people to the festival.
Vinod Kumar Singh informed that a free India Talent Hunt-2022 will be organized in the 15-day India Handicraft Festival to be held from 30 November 2022 to 14 December 2022, under which children and youth will be singing, dancing, playing, kids modeling, henna, Rangoli, junk se jugaad, sewing, painting, essay writing, cycle race, kho-kho, kabaddi, Mr-Miss and Mrs. India competitions will be organized.
In the press conference, the Vice President of Pragati Environment Protection Trust, N.B. Singh informed that in India Handicrafts Festival-2022, many personalities who have made significant contribution in various fields of 28 states and 8 union territories of India will be honored with Bharat Handicrafts Festival Ratna Samman, which will include women, men and children.
He told that in the cultural evening of India Handicrafts Festival-2022, folk dance and folk singing programs of different states and union territories of India like Khayal dance of Uttar Pradesh, Ras dance, Jhula dance, Peacock dance, Dhobia dance, Charkula dance. , Woodpecker dance, Jogini dance, Alha-Udal singing, Ghoomar dance of Rajasthan, Kalbelia dance, Teratali dance, Gair dance, Gidda-Bhangra of Punjab, Jhumar dance of Haryana, Jat Jatin dance of Bihar, Phagua dance of Jharkhand, Karma dance , Lavani dance of Maharashtra, Dasavatar and Dindi dance, Garba dance of Gujarat along with folk dance and folk singing programs of other states.
