At a time when Aatmanirbhar India has turned into a call of the hour by the current dispensation post the pandemic, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has declared the Koo app as India’s first unique indigenous Aatmanirbhar App. An Indian micro-blogging platform, like Twitter which caters to vernacular languages, it helps people express themselves in their mother tongue. Launched in March 2020 it is available in a wide array of languages like Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali. In no time Koo has become the largest micro-blog in India in Indian vernacular languages.
Many prominent personalities have joined the platform since its launch 6 months back. Koo is the highest rated app in the news category with more than 1 million downloads.
