New Delhi: The Indian Youth Congress is celebrating the birthday of Narendra Modi on September 17 as National Unemployment Day. National Chairman of Indian Youth Congress RTI Department Dr. Anil Kumar Meena told that the reason for this is the problem of increasing jobs in India, lack of work, business shutdown and government institutions going into private hands.
Decreasing employment has made more than 14 crore population of India unemployed. Instead of getting employment to the people in the country, employment is being snatched from the government institutions. In the election announcements, Narendra Modi had promised to provide employment to 2 crore youth every year. According to CMIE data, that government could not provide employment to 2 crore people in the last 8 years.
National President of Youth Congress Srinivas B.V. said, “Modi government came to power by making big promises of providing 2 crore jobs per year, but today the central government is completely silent on the issue of employment. The unemployment rate in the country has increased from 2.4 percent to 10.3 percent in a year. The government has failed to provide employment to the youth.
In the name of providing employment, many schemes were run on government paper, including Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Skill Development Scheme, Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan, Atma Nirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushal Yojana, Antyodaya Yojana Crores of billions of rupees were spent on advertisements on the promotion of many schemes like National Rural Livelihood Mission, but on the ground level, unemployment among the youth in the country continued to increase. Instead of throwing crores of billions of rupees on advertisements, if they had given employment to the youth, then their future could have been golden.
The Narendra Modi government has privatized most of the government institutions in the country to benefit its friendly industrialists. The loss of which is being seen by the youth of the country in the form of unemployment. Keeping in mind the problems of the youth of the country, it is being celebrated as “National Unemployed Day”. The educated youth of the country have become disappointed due to weak policies of the government, failed schemes, jumlaniti etc. He is waiting for the coming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He wants to overthrow the government which ruined the future of youth through his franchise. Under the ‘National Unemployment Day’, various programs will be organized by the Indian Youth Congress organization across the country. So that the government can understand the pain of the educated unemployed youth of the country.
