Indigenous cruise to give Kashi new feel

Varanasi: Tourism is achieving heights in Kashi, the parliamentary constituency of the Prime Minister. The Vishwanatham double decker Vajra is being prepared which will take the devotees coming here on a tour of the ghats of Banaras from Dussehra. The makers of Vajra claim that it is being constructed on the lines of Vocal for Local. This Vajra is five feet bigger in length than the Alaknanda Cruise.

Ajay Sahni, associated with the management of Sriviswanatham, said that after the construction of the corridor in Kashi, the crowd of tourists has increased significantly in the ghats here. Here the external cruise ships were coming and enjoying clout. For the same reason, we are getting a bigger boat prepared than the cruise which will have 110 seats and will be fully air conditioned, in which the passengers will feel a sense of indianness. He told that the length of Alaknanda Cruise is 75 feet while the length of Sriviswanatham is 80 feet and width is 20 feet. The Vajra is fully air conditioned. Two engines have been installed in it. One engine will run on CNG while the other will run on petrol. It has a capacity of 110 passengers and costs approximately Rs 80 lakh.
