Lucknow: The Department of Housing and Urban Planning, Govt. of UP has prepared draft New Township Policy 2022 and has sought comments and objection from stakeholders. The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of UP has organised an interactive session with developer, builder, architect and other associated stake holder at Chamber’s Secretariat at Gomti Nagar Lucknow.
Large number of members have actively participated and suggested that the licensing system should be replaced by registration, the proposed process of verification, and other activities should be simplified and should be software supported to minimise human interface. The requirement of minimum turnover should be reduced, the amount spend in acquisition of land should be considered as an expenditure for the purpose of working capital assessment. The 100% FDI should be restricted to ensure local participation in township development. There should be incentive for installation of solar system in the township.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Tariq HasanNaqvi, Senior Vice President. ShriVirendraNath Gupta, Secretary General has presented the key points of New Township Policy 2022. Shri R.K. Sharan has initiated the discussion. ShriShailendra Jain, ShriVivek Jain, ShriVineet Gupta, Shri Manish Khemka, ShriNirmal Mishra, ShriSujeet Singh, Shri Sanjay Gupta, AdarshVyaparMandal have attended the meeting and gave their suggestions.
