Is Hardik Pandya up for big game ?

Mumbai: India has to play a five-match T20 series against South Africa in which many senior players are likely to be rested. Captain Rohit Sharma, Vice-Captain KL Rahul, Virat Kohli will be rested in this series.

According to news agency PTI, either Shikhar Dhawan or Hardik Pandya can lead India in the T20 series against South Africa.

According to the report, apart from Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant can be rested in this series. India has to go on an important tour of England after this.

The team can be selected for the T20 series on 22 May, on this day the league matches of IPL are ending.

A BCCI source has been quoted saying that all senior players will be given three-four weeks’ rest so that they can directly join the England tour. There are two big choices against the selectors when it comes to captaincy, Shikhar Dhawan who has been in command in the past and Hardik Pandya. Mohsin Khan can be included in Team India for this series. The selectors are also eyeing Umran Malik.
