Islamic scholar Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan compares PM modi to Dhritarashtra, warns of another Mahabharata

Lucknow: Maulana Tauqir Raza Khan, an Islamic scholar and associated with Ala Hazrat Dargah, has given rise to a new controversy by comparing PM Narendra Modi with Dhritarashtra and warning of another Mahabharata in the country.

Not only this, Maulana said that if Muslims come out of the house and come on the streets, then no one will be able to stop them. At the same time, BJP’s counterattack has come on Maulana’s statement. UP State Spokesperson Manish Shukla said, ‘The country will not run by threats and jihad, but by law and constitution.

Who is Maulana Tauqir Raza Khan

Maulana Tauqir Raza is identified as a Maulana of the Barelvi community of Sunni Muslims. Tauqeer Raza Khan is also associated with Ala Hazrat Dargah. Apart from being an Islamic school, Tauqir Raza has also formed a political party called Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMC). Not only this, Tauqir Raza Khan had joined Congress just before the UP elections.

Comparison of PM Modi with Dhritarashtra

Tauqeer Raza Khan has come under the media headlines as well as the target of BJP after one of his statements given on Thursday. In fact, Tausri Raza said about the bulldozer action in Jahangirpuri that if PM Modi remains blind and deaf on the atrocities on Muslims, then no one can stop the Mahabharata from happening again in India. Tauqir Raza did not stop here, he said – if Muslims come out of their homes and come on the streets, then no one will be able to stop them.

Tauqir Raza said in a press conference convened at his residence in Dargah Ala Hazrat on Thursday that if the unilateral action is not stopped, then after Eid, a nationwide Jail Bharo Andolan will be announced by making a strategy in Delhi to deal with the injustice being done against Muslims. Muslims and supporters of brotherhood, people of all religions will also participate in this.

BJP spokesperson retorted on Raza’s statement

So right there, now the statement of UP State Spokesperson Manish Shukla has come to the fore on this statement of Maulana Tauqir Raza Khan. Manish Shukla said, ‘The country will not run by threats and slogans of jihad, but by law and constitution. If you had seen the list of names of people whose encroachments have been removed in Jahangirpuri, then they would not have spoken such toxic things. But your aim is not to do justice but to do politics. Do politics on the basis of religion and caste. But the state and the country have progressed beyond this. He further said that, ‘There will also be a legal test of this statement of Tauqeer Raza, and if any illegal thing comes out in it, then action will be ensured on the basis of this statement also.’

Tauqir Raza has given controversial statement even before this

This is not the first time that Tauqeer Raza Khan has given a controversial statement. Even before this, he has given objectionable statements about PM Modi and Hindu society. He has already been arrested for making objectionable statements. During the protests against CAA, fundamentalist Islamic cleric Tauqir Raza Khan had even called PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah terrorists. After which the UP Police had registered a case against Tauqeer Raza under sections 304, 305 and 153-K of the IPC.
