Jaipuria Institute of Management organizes Winter School
Lucknow | Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow organized Winter School on research methods. The inauguration of the winter school took place on 12th December 2022 at 11:00 am where Dr.Kavita Pathak, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow welcomed all the faculty, researchers, academicians, and research scholars. She informed the participants that Winter School covers different methods of research. Dr.Kavita Pathak said, “Learning theories are important because they allow teachers to understand how their students learn. Through using different learning methods, teachers can develop more comprehensive learning strategies and help students find success in education. Learning theories can shape all areas of learning, including the development of curriculums in formal education or how people participate in self-learning. Although the various types of theories in education are especially important for aspiring and active teachers, understanding some of them can help anyone learn more about themselves and maximize their learning potential”.
Dr.Anubhav Mishra, Dean-Research at Jaipuria Institute emphasized on the importance of methods for research publication. The first session was taken by Dr. J.K. Nayak, Faculty, IIT-Roorkee, where he spoke on ‘Research Theory and Methods’. He emphasized on problem identification as the most important aspect that leads to relevant research design. He guided & helped participants in designing the research problem and gave his valuable inputs to refine the same.
The topics to be covered in Winter School 2022 include Research Methods and Theory, Participatory Methods in Research, Meta-Analysis and Multi-Criterion Decision Making, Qualitative Research, Structural Equation Modelling, and How to publish in top-tier journals.
