Mumbai: In the last season of the Indian Premier League, when Mumbai Indians bought Jofra Archer for an expensive price of 8 crores, the expectations of the fans of Mumbai were on the seventh sky. Everyone was eager to see him bowl with Jasprit Bumrah, but his wish could not be fulfilled due to injury.
But this season his wish may come true as the England pacer is eager to make a comeback. He tweeted on the first day of the year that I am ready by 2023. Not only this, he also shared some pictures which are being said to be from around the time of his injury.
Jofra Archer, who created a storm with his bowling in the 2019 World Cup, was the highest wicket-taker for England, but due to injury to the elbow and lower back, he had to stay away from cricket for several months. He played his last international match in March 2021. Now he is fully fit and ready to make a comeback. In November, he also trained with the team in Abu Dhabi.
He has also been signed by the Mumbai franchise for his team Capetown for the SA20 League. He will first join this league in January. He will then return for England in the upcoming ODI series against South Africa, which begins on January 27.
He will then be seen bowling for Mumbai Indians in IPL along with Jasprit Bumrah which fans have been excited to see for the last one year.
